Chapter 124

5 min read

How hard did he bite himself to draw out blood from his lips?

What an idiot!

I quickly took out my handkerchief and grabbed Sihael’s face as he tried to run away.

“Why did you let this happen? You should have run away if it was so hard for you.”

“Wait, you’re too close.”

“Your Highness, you’ve been moving your face in front of me day in and day out. Now that I’m doing it, you’re scared?”

I replied nervously and carefully pressed my lips together. Drops of blood stained the pure white handkerchief. I felt a heated gaze on my cheek. When I raised my head, Sihael looked at me with sullen eyes.  However, contrary to his dissatisfied eyes, the corners of his mouth peeking through the handkerchief kept twitching upward.

“Your Highness, do you find this funny?”

“Yeah, it’s not funny at all, but it just made me laugh.”

I felt sick to my stomach just looking at the handkerchief stained red.  When I pressed my lips together in discomfort, Sihael narrowed his eyes and sighed, saying that he was in pain.

“It hurts.”

“If you had a hard time staying lucid, you should have run away or rather ask for a smack. Why did you rip off your lips?”

I was upset. It was him who got hurt, but I felt more hurt. Sihael gently rubbed my eyes.

As if he was soothing my annoyance.

‘Wait, I think we’re too close.’

We were so close that I could feel his breath. When I quietly pulled my head back, Sihael who moved back to his place, smirked.

“Are you angry?”

“What would you do if I got angry? Will you be scolded by me quietly?”

He’s not going to tell me to spank him again, is he? Whenever Sihael smiled slyly, something unusual always happened. I pushed his chest away, keeping my guard up.

“Instead of getting scolded, you can just do something to cheer me up.”

Before I could finish my words, I blinked in surprise as his face got closer to mine. I was obviously on guard. I didn’t know that I would be attacked before I could finish my words, so I stiffened and drew in a breath. In the meantime, Sihael buried his face in my shoulder and wrapped his arms around my waist.  I couldn’t get out of his strong hold.

‘You, you sly…!’

Surprised by the warm breath that brushed against my bare skin, I jumped and stared at Sihael. Cheer me up, my foot! He was purely satisfying his greed!

“Let me go!”

When I hit Sihael on the head, he whined and clung to my shoulder.

“Ah, my lips hurt so much that I can’t stand properly.”

From his tone, someone might think he broke his leg. When I let go of Sihael, who saw how his trick didn’t work, raised his head slightly and smiled at me. Wow! I was again mesmerised by his handsome face. I couldn’t think straight because of his especially shining face today.

I quickly pressed down his head and raised my head to look into the air.

‘How annoying. Why is he so handsome?!’

If it weren’t for his face, I would have already pushed him away. If Sihael decides to use his face, I have no choice but to give up helplessly. But it was too unfair to go on like this. I raised my fist and hit Sihael on the head.

“Oh, it hurts. Rosetta, it hurts.”

He didn’t avoid it even if it hurt to death. He was really persistent.

“Wait. Let’s stay like this for a while.”

Sihael murmured lazily, his soft lips brushed against my skin. The heat rose wherever his touch fell. Instinctively trying to push Sihael away from the unfamiliar sensation rising up, I stopped my hand when I saw his drooping shoulders.

‘Well, I’m also at fault for blindly accepting everything.’

In the end, I gave in and after confirming that no one was around, I patted him on the back.

“Why are you in a bad mood?”

“I’m angry that you were so carefree without knowing how that Snake Eyes was provoking you.”

Snake Eyes… Yeah, her eyes were kind of like that.

I burst into laughter as I pondered over Sihael’s words. It was refreshing to see how he had given Anisha, who was confident that she would have Sihael, such a strange name.

“Should I cut off her hand that hurt you the next time I see her?”

What a bloody thing to say.

“It’s okay. I’ll take care of it myself.”

Still, thanks to him, I was able to shake off all my depressed feelings. I grabbed Sihael by the shoulder and begged him.

“Your Highness, she’s a crazy bitch, so don’t ever get close to her.”

“Yeah, her eyes were a little weird.”

“Right?”

So I didn’t see it wrong. Her eyes were like that of real crazy people. I think one of her screws is loose. Anyway, it was best not to deal with such a person. As my body trembled from recalling her chilling eyes, Sihael gently patted me on the shoulder.

“And I don’t want you-”

“Shh!”

I shut his mouth as he tried to say something. If I wasn’t mistaken, what I just heard was definitely people’s voices. As I strained my ears, I heard a murmur in the distance.

“Your Highness, people are coming. Let me go now.”

If they see us hugging, we would really be put in an awkward position.
