Just when I thought all this fuss was coming to an end,
“Ah!”
Anisha’s hard nails scratched my palm. I looked down at my hand at a tingling pain.
Red blood oozed out of the scratch wounds on my palm.
“Oh, I’m sorry.”
She definitely did it on purpose. I gnashed my teeth as I watched the blood dripping down my palm.
‘Is this woman a total nutcase?’
Did she really think she could pass off her obvious aggression as a mistake?
‘Should I just hurl her away?’
Do I need to take care of my image when I’m already rumoured to be a crazy dog?
The overwhelming desire to smash her hard and the desire to remain calm during my coming-of-age ceremony violently collided.
‘Let’s put up with it. It’s a good day after all.’
Just when I could barely contain my anger, Anisha’s lips twisted into a smirk.
Are you mocking me? Are you crazy?
I’ve never seen someone so blatantly looking for trouble. In an instant, my neck strained from the rising blood pressure. It was like pouring oil on a burning house.
“Oh, you’re bleeding. Let’s quickly get some treatment for it.”
“Lady Duqran, do you think this is fun?”
“No way, I’m feeling very guilty.”
Then should someone like that be smiling at this time? As I frowned, I stepped back from her, goosebumps climbing up my spine.
‘Are my eyes okay?’
Her face was obviously crying, saying she was sorry, but her eyes were smirking. She seemed like a complete lunatic.
‘Sh*t, I messed with the wrong person.’
A red light flashed fiercely in my head.
The half-lidded eyes gleamed eerily. People like her should not be dealt with, rather should be absolutely avoided.
“No, thanks. I’ll go alone.”
“Oh that can’t be. It’s my mistake. Come on, let’s go together.”
Anisha reached for my arm as I stepped back. But her tenacious hand didn’t reach me.
“I’ll go with her.”
“Your Highness?”
Before I knew it, Sihael stepped in front of me and firmly grabbed Anisha’s arm.
Did he smell my blood? What should I do? Oh, I’ll be in trouble.
I clenched my fists to block out the scent of blood as much as possible. But unlike before, Sihael’s eyes looked clear. No, let me correct myself. They weren’t clear, but were simmering with heat.
“…What a shame. I really wanted to go with you.”
Anisha, who gently pulled away her hand, closed her eyes and smiled at Sihael. I bit my lips warily at her strangely erotic smile.
“Stop biting your lips and let’s go.”
The only consolation to me was that Sihael did not give Anisha a proper look.
“Yes, let’s go quickly. Quick, quick!”
I dragged Sihael’s arm and hurriedly walked forward. My back tingled. Just before turning the corner, when I turned back my head, Anisha, who had been staring intently at me, opened her mouth.
‘What a shame.’
Her red tongue licked her lips slowly.
What is it that you regret? That you can’t bother me anymore? Or that you missed a chance with Sihael?
Either way, the terrible feeling that arose from it was the same.

How far are we going?
Sihael never looked back at me since we left the banquet hall and arrived at the main building. He just held my uninjured hand tightly and walked silently, looking straight ahead. One could tell just by looking at his back that he was in a very bad mood. In the calm atmosphere, I kept my mouth shut and silently followed his broad back.
Is Sihael okay? I couldn’t tell because he didn’t show his face. I looked down at my hand wrapped in a white handkerchief. Shortly after leaving the banquet hall, Sihael wrapped my hand with it.
‘Your Highness, I’ll do it.’
‘…Stay still.’
He clenched his jaw so tightly that I could hear him grinding his molars. As I recalled his quick movements of wrapping the handkerchief with a patient face, I imagined what face he was making now..
‘He’s sure holding it in, right?’
It was a minor scratch, so the bleeding had long since stopped, but it might still affect him.
“Your Highness.”
I cautiously called out to Sihael, but as expected, he didn’t budge. I pulled his hand as hard as I could. Then, unable to overcome my strength, Sihael stood still and spat out a word in a deep voice.
“… Why.”
“It’s over now, so you can go back. I’ll take care of it from here.”
“It’s okay. Come on.”
What do you mean by it’s okay? I can clearly see you’re trying to hold it in. I pulled his hand when he kept trying to evade. When I pulled him back to his place, Sihael sighed deeply as he realised that he could not defeat me with force.
“Rosetta, your hand needs to be treated.”
“The bleeding has stopped.”
It had been a long time since it had stopped. It didn’t matter anymore. So the important thing now
was not about me, but about Sihael.
‘Why aren’t you showing me your face?’
Aggrieved by Sihael’s attitude of not showing his face, I grabbed his arm and pulled him towards me as hard as I could.
“You…!”
Sihael, who lost his balance due to the unexpected power, stumbled. I didn’t miss the chance and grabbed Sihael’s arms and turned him around. When his face was finally revealed, I screamed in a shrill voice.
“Blood! You’re bleeding!”
Blood flowed from his wounded lips, soaking his chin and staining his shirt red.
