Recount of a Cannon Fodder’s Counterattack (15)

Wang Lizhi finally turned away from Jin Jingyao when they got to the audition and saw the director.

Taking advantage of Wang Lizhi’s inattention, Jin Jingyao turned around and made a helpless expression at Lu Shijin. Lu Shijin sneered silently, thinking that he deserved it.

The director was busy with the auditions, so the three people just greeted him before retreating to the side.

It was finally time for Zhang Hao to audition. He was tall and skinny, his face clear and white like a youth.

Although he wasn’t the most handsome person in the entertainment industry, his appearance was the kind that would make people feel at ease, a suitable face to connect with the audience.

It was his first time auditioning in front of such a big director. Zhang Hao was a bit nervous and focused on the director, not noticing any other people there.

After introducing himself, the director told him to start.

Regardless of how nervous he was, Zhang Hao’s basics were good due to how long he’s been acting and accurately portrayed all the character’s emotions.

After the performance, the director didn’t seem exceptionally impressed, but there was nothing to pick on about his performance.

“There should be no problem for Zhang Hao to get this character.”

Jin Jingyao said in a low voice after seeing Zhang Hao’s performance. Although he intended it for Lu Shijin, Wang Lizhi thought he was talking to him, and became jealous after hearing Jin Jingyao praise Zhang Hao.

“I don’t think so. His acting is just so-so. For director Zhang’s works, the secondary leads should at least be first line stars, right? I’ve never even seen this actor, how could director Zhang use such an eighteenth liner?”

Jin Jingyao smiled lightly, “Many large stars were unknown before. Eighteenth-line stars might not stay there. If they get an opportunity, it’s not uncommon for them to instantly rise to glory.”

Hearing Jin Jingyao defend an actor, Wang Lizhi couldn’t resist mocking the innocent Zhang Hao, “But it depends on his fate. He might be destined for it, and he might not be. Director Zhang doesn’t seem to be that satisfied with Zhang Hao, seems like he doesn’t have the fate.”

“True.” Jin Jingyao looked at Wang Lizhi with a mysterious smile, “There really aren’t many opportunities like da-Pen’s.”

Wang Lizhi couldn’t tell that Jin Jingyao was being sarcastic and smiled proudly, “It was just a coincidence, the readers just liked it, that’s all.”

“Sorry, I need to go to the washroom.” Jin Jingyao was too lazy to continue talking with Wang Lizhi and stood up to leave.

Before he went out, he met eyes with Lu Shijin. Lu Shijin understood what he wanted, but didn’t show anything on his face.

With Jin Jingyao leaving, Wang Lizhi became even more bored and yawned, “Thank god Lu-ge, you’re here. Who knows when this is gonna go until, it’s too boring just sitting here.”

Lu Shijin deliberately said, “It seems like it might take a couple more hours. How about you tell the director that we’ll come at a later date?”

“No way, you know how famous director Zhang is. If my novel can be adapted by him, then my price will definitely rise. I’ll be able to sell my IPs for a higher price too.” Wang Lizhi said quietly, “That’s how important a director is. If only I could be a director.”

“I’m gonna take a smoke.” Lu Shijjin also didn’t want to talk with Wang Lizhi anymore and made up a random excuse.

Wang Lizhi grumbled, “Why are you also leaving, come back quickly after your smoke, I’m so bored here.

Lu Shijin and Jin Jingyao both left, leaving Wang Lizhi behind, who was too afraid to leave. He was afraid that when the director looked for him but couldn’t find him, it would give a bad impression.

This gave Lu Shijin and Jin Jingyao the perfect opportunity to meet.

Lu Shijin slowly walked to the washroom at the end of the hall. He couldn’t hear anything and thought that there was no one there, so he was about to leave when he was suddenly pushed inside by someone.

He only heard the slam of the door as it closed. Lu Shijin was off balance and slammed against the wall.

Only Jin Jingyao would be so bold, so Lu Shijin’s expression was very calm.

“Why is he here?” Jin Jingyao frowned unhappily, full of disgust. “What a problem.”

“Is he obstructing you?” Lu Shijin asked with a smile.

Jin Jingyao grabbed his chin and smiled dangerously, “What do you think? I helped you out so much, shouldn’t it be time for you to pay me back?”

Lu Shijin sneered, knowing that Jin Jingyao didn’t have good intentions.

Jin jingyao stroked Lu Shijin’s chin, feeling entranced by the smooth skin, and said in a hoarse voice, “I already have a room upstairs booked, you need to find a way to get rid of him.”

“We came here together, so we definitely have to leave together.” Lu Shijin said seriously.

Jin Jingyao smiled, a hand creeping behind Lu Shijin’s waist, slowly sneaking down.

“Seems like you’re not going to pay me back? Or are you playing hard to get?”

Jin Jingyao saw through Lu Shijin’s thoughts, so he said, “There’s a saying that people don’t know how to treasure the things they get easily. What if you tire of me someday and throw me away?”

Jin Jingyao smiled evilly, “You have to try it out to see if you tire of it though.”

Would a normal human say that? This was clearly an extreme scum!

Lu Shijin smirked, “Okay, how do you want to play?”

Jin Jingyao looked around the washroom, “There’s no one here, how about…?”

Before he could finish, the door behind them was knocked on.

Wang Lizhi’s voice came, “Why’s the washroom door closed? Is there someone inside? Boss, are you there?”

“Fuck, why’s he here?” Jin Jingyao cursed at being interrupted. He had to get rid of Wang Lizhi first, they couldn’t let Wang Lizhi see them together. He motioned with his eyes for Lu Shijin to hide as he opened the door to deal with Wang Lizhi.

But Lu Shijin didn’t move to hide. Instead, he got closer to Jin Jingyao and whispered in his ear, “Don’t you want something exciting? How is this for excitement?”

Jin Jingyao understood what Lu Shijin was implying and hesitated.

If he listened to Lu Shijin, he wouldn’t be able to complete his task if Wang Lizhi found out.

But he was tempted by Lu Shijin. Being a door away from getting discovered made him very aroused.

Lu Shijin’s hand was already sliding towards his belt and nimbly unbuttoned it. His glittering eyes didn’t leave Jin Jingyao’s biting his lower lip in temptation. He seemed to be silently asking him if he dared.

Rule one of being a scum: dying under a flower* and becoming a ghost was absolutely worth it.

*ED: Sex. In this case, being caught while having sex.

Jin Jingyao was very tempted by Lu Shijin.

He quickly locked the door and pressed Lu Shijin against the wall with a kiss.

Who cared about his task. Jin Jingyao decided that even if Wang Lizhi kicked the door down, he would deal with Lu Shijin, this vixen, first!
