Jin Jingyao was a man of action. While Lu Shijin was writing the things for the businessman and housewife, Jin Jingyao had already arranged for everything to happen like in the story.
For the businessman, Lu Shijin didn’t follow his request exactly and did not make him start off with a happy life.
In the story, it started after the businessman went bankrupt. He helped an old man, who just happened to be the chairman of an international company.
Learning of what happened to the businessman, the chairman was very sympathetic and hired him to work for him. After some time, he found that the businessman was talented and dependable.
The businessman went up the ranks until he got to a very high administrative position and cleared his debt. He even remarried his wife and his life was good again.
Jin Jingyao had observed the businessman. Although he might not be the best, he was very down-to-earth and willing to work. He didn’t fall into depression even after going bankrupt and in debt.
So he went to ask the head of an international company that had a close relation with the Jin family for a favor. After telling him about the businessman, he asked the person to act like in the story and see if the businessman was good enough. If he was, then the businessman should be hired.
This went smoothly. The businessman never thought that events in a story would become real.
The businessman sent a long private message to Lu Shijin in thanks. He said that if he didn’t continue holding onto a bit of hope after reading what Lu Shijin wrote, he was afraid he wouldn’t have been able to endure. He praised Lu Shijin as his entire family’s savior, and would definitely repay him someday.
Lu Shijin responded simply, telling the businessman that it was because he never gave up on himself that fate didn’t give up on him.
For the housewife, Lu Shijin looked into her family situation. It was as she said, her husband was worthless.
Her in-laws were obsessed with the idea of getting a grandson to carry on the family name, so their attitude immediately changed upon seeing their daughter-in-law give birth to a female. At six months, they started telling their son to go for a second child.
Their son listened to everything his mother told him.
The housewife was already stressed enough taking care of a child by herself, and with all the comments from her in-laws, she was naturally unwilling to give birth again. She didn’t want to hurt another innocent child by putting them in such a toxic environment.
So her in-law started urging her husband to find another woman to give birth to a grandson for them. The housewife was stuck here regardless since she had no job, so she couldn’t do anything.
In the story, Lu Shijin decided to have the housewife divorce her husband because she wanted a healthy environment for her daughter.
Her husband’s family laughed at her decision, not believing she would decide to leave.
The housewife submitted her resume to many companies, not expecting that they would hire a single mother with a child. Surprisingly, one of the best companies in her field replied and invited her for an interview.
In the interview, the housewife didn’t hide her circumstances, stating that she needed to take care of her daughter, so she couldn’t do overtime. If the company couldn’t accept that, she would be understanding.
Surprisingly, the interviewer was won over by her bravery and honesty, and was also satisfied by her work experience, so they gave her an offer on the spot. They even told her that before the child was old enough to be apart from her for long periods of time, she could get off work an hour early to take care of her.
With a stable financial backing, the housewife had the confidence to divorce her husband. She ignored her parents’ worries and decided to have a fresh start.
To have this in real life, it was similar to the businessman’s, and needed Jin Jingyao’s help to get a job for the housewife.
The housewife was naturally like the businessman and thanked Lu Shijin profusely. Lu Shijin encouraged her to work hard, and to not give up just because of a previous failed marriage.
Older single women and single mothers shouldn’t be discriminated against. Women should be able to be dependent on themselves. They could also definitely find someone who cares for them if they wanted to.
After dealing with the businessman and housewife, he just needed to figure out how to make the actor, Zhang Hao, popular.
After about half a month, Jin Jingyao told Lu Shijin that he knew of a big director who was looking for actors for his newest movie.
They were holding an audition at a hotel. He had already sent news of the audition to Zhang Hao, so he should be coming.
Jin Jingyao had already made an agreement with the director. If Zhang Hao passed, even though he couldn’t be the male lead, being a secondary lead of such a big hit would be a lot for most actors.
On the day of the audition, Jin Jingyao met with Lu Shijin in the hotel to attend the audition. Zhang Hao didn’t know them, so they could watch how good he was.
Lu Shijin came, and what made Jin Jingyao shocked was that he brought Wang Lizhi.
“Boss, why are you here?” Seeing Jin Jingyao’s car in front of the hotel, Wang Lizhi had his suspicions, and when he saw him inside, he was happy and shocked, “What a coincidence, do you also have something to do here?”
Jin Jingyao glanced at Lu Shijin, who was hiding behind Wang Lizhi wanting to watch the drama, and then forced out a smile to Wang Lizhi, “Director Zhang’s choosing actors, I came to take a look.”
“I’m also here for director Zhang.” Wang Lizhi lifted his chin and bragged, “He said one of my novels caught his attention, and he wants to make a movie out of it. We’re meeting to discuss the script.”
Jin Jingyao nodded perfunctorily, “What a coincidence, then let’s go upstairs. The audition should’ve started already.”
Wang Lizhi immediately forgot about Lu Shijin when he saw Jin Jingyao and stuck to Jin Jingyao. He would start bragging about how his novel made such a big director interested and the intense competition between the actors for all the roles at one moment, and then he would start talking about how he wanted to invest in becoming a producer for his works, and if Jin Jingyao had any suggestions, the next.
This made Jin Jingyao beyond annoyed, wanting to use a bat to knock Wang Lizhi unconscious to shut him up.
