Chapter 75.2

6 min read

“It’s amazing. The courage to actually dare to think that you, a mere human, could truly hurt me.”

Bael soon lowered his gaze. Right in front of his eyes was a thin, dry neck that seemed like it would break if he were to press it with even the slightest bit of effort.

No, this woman was nowhere near weak. Soft, warm and damp, a body that was similar to the snacks which she enjoyed eating herself.

His breath that was roughened by his unresolved excitement eventually touched upon the nape of Julia’s neck. He was already mounting on top of her. The huge shadow that was cast by Bael swayed over the white sheets.

“Tell me. What was your intention to get away from me?”

“…”

“You once said so. You’d turn me into the Demon God and on top of that, you’d gladly accept any kind of method as well—no matter the price.”

The more he thought about it, the further the base of his thoughts, which had been dried up by anger, was eventually revealed. The past had covered his eyes. Mana was drained away like the ebb and Julia, who had been white and unable to breathe properly, could be seen no longer.

Silence was an affirmation.

It was a really strange feeling. The miserable and cold water of the lake gradually drenched him right from the bottom of his feet and swarmed upwards. It wasn’t anger and it hadn’t even been joy either, but an indefinable emotion that he never felt at all before began to dominate him whole.

He felt bad. When he looked at this woman, he became displeased and could stand it no longer.

“But I can’t kill you either.”

He couldn’t move his hands. The neck was so thin that even the slightest amount of force could break it apart, but he still wasn’t able to do anything as if he had been caught in a spell.

“Yes, because you are the key. The most important fragment of the creator itself.”

A sudden laughter came out on its own. Bael stood up and looked down at Julia, who was writhing on the bed.

The red moonlight passed through her delicate body. His throat became choked up again. A fierce desire and urge fueled his entire being. Demons were originally selfish and ferocious creatures who could be easily swept away by their instincts. If it was like that right from the creator itself, would the children be any different then?

He lifted his eyes and stared at the purple magic crystal for a short time. Then, he grabbed a hold of Julia’s forearm and forcibly pulled her up to the head of the bed.

“Stay still.”

“No, o, I…”

When Bael let go of her hand, Julia shook her head and quickly crouched down. She was so weak that her forearm had been bruised black even though he only held her for just a moment.

Bael felt so sick and tired of himself that he was blinded by it all.

Clank—the dull sound of chains permeated through the cool night air. Bael had her hands bound right above her head with chains. The opposite end of it was fastened securely to the wall. The foolish key only then seemed to have finally realized her own current predicament.

“Demon King?”

“I told you to stay still.”

“Let, let me go.”

A dull sound of metal scratched his eardrums. It was very disturbing to see that the key had become hesitant just because it could not do anything under the chain that was only with the thickness of a single rope. She was like a frail, innocent deer that seemed to be dying in a hunter’s trap.

“Are you doing this on purpose for me to see?”

However, the moment he would be tricked into letting go, the deer would then snicker at the hunter before running away.

The key would run away. Soon to disappear forever into a place where he wouldn’t be able to reach. Just thinking about it had made Bael choke upon his own breath and his fingertips grew utterly cold. He could clearly feel the pulsating flow of blood within that body.

The name of this wonderful emotion must have been referred to as anger.

However, he couldn’t do anything to the woman who had still been struggling in front of him as if she was mocking the King. He couldn’t even understand himself being like that, but he simply couldn’t bear to put his fingertips upon her body.

Did the key even know of this? Was that why she always chose to do something that would ultimately annoy him?

“I, I’m actually scared to be here. I don’t want to be found out. I don’t even want to show it. I’m just a fake whom no one wants, but I’m gradually getting greedy beyond my place. I’m just so disgusting.”

He could hear nothing. A woman’s tears just cascaded through like a bursting dam and the words of disgust that were whispered as if she was pouring her deep feelings out had been deeply embedded in his mind.

Bael’s rage that had nowhere to go made him grip the head of the bed. It was thicker and harder than a span of his hand, yet it crumbled easily just like a sandcastle.

“If you want to make me go crazy, then it’s a real success. Now, it’s so…”

Bael stopped his words while trying to suppress his anger. However, the moment he saw the key’s wet eyes, his spine instantly shuddered. The impatience he had was utterly unbearable.

“It’s so unpleasant that it makes me want to ruin you whole.”

Bael propped his arms on Julia’s side and lowered his torso. There had been an aura of a beast that was about to explode from his sharp red eyes which continued staring solely at her.

Could it be that she was afraid of the fangs of a beast that had been shoved right in front of her? She struggled harder to free herself from the bondage in tears. The sound of metal clattering and heavy breathing eventually echoed through the ruined room.

“Huuhk, don’t…”

He didn’t want to let away even a single of her breaths. All of those were his.

Bael slowly held the woman’s red-hot lips. He then slipped his tongue between her slightly parted lips and gently rubbed the little chunk of flesh that fled in fright. Even her trembling breath was so soft and sweet that he could never make an escape from it.

Bael’s hands slid down as he kissed her while still clinging onto her. He wanted to bury himself in a deeper, much more intimate place than just this. A damp and warm place.

Bael lowered his gaze briefly in order to lift up Julia’s skirt. The woman’s slender, rounded shoulders had caught his eye. However, there was a strange blue tinge on the skin, which was all dyed red by the soft moonlight.
