Chapter 71.2

6 min read

“It’s quite strange. To hear that it’s delicious while simply eating something like that.”

“It’s because the Demon King doesn’t know at all. Compared to what I had eaten back in the Human Realm, this is a real delicacy.”

“This is actually more like trash.”

“Hmm……”

Julia smiled vaguely and shrugged her shoulders. She didn’t want to say anything bad about the food, but she had a hard time giving a good review to the moldy bread as well as the plain, bitter soup with no ingredients back then.

However he had interpreted her laugh, Bael simply looked out the window in silence. Bael’s nest was located in the highest and most open place within the Demon’s Castle. So, it could overlook the emissaries’ quarters, which was quite far from the main castle, at a glance.

“…”

For a moment, she could feel as if Bael’s eyes had sunken frighteningly, but when she faced him once again, his face was just insensitive as usual.

He motioned away the tableware that Julia had completely put down with just a single gesture. Julia then suddenly became rather curious.

“Then, the Demon King does not really eat anything? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you eat as do the other demons too.”

“It’s simply optional.”

“That means it’s not really required. I heard from Kimaris before that there is a kitchen in the Demon’s Castle. So, I was quite curious about it.”

Of course, she fully understood that the kitchen was essentially different from the place that she usually thought of. Even the low-level demons ate each other or even hunted humans who had flown into the Demon Realm. The dream demons had to replenish energy through sexual intercourse and their familiars had to consume the magic that was given through by the master.

It appeared utterly clear that it was not common even though each of the methods had been entirely different. At that time, Bael suddenly murmured softly.

“There is something that I wish to eat right now.”

“The Demon King does?”

Bael’s hand shifted slowly and caressed his neck. His fully exposed upper body and his well-raised muscles clearly stood out as he moved. Perhaps because his frame was so large and clear, his every movement felt somehow ferocious and sensual like that of a very beast.

He scanned Julia with his eyes and heaved out a long breath. Julia instantly wanted to run away from his eyes. It was as if Bael’s eyes had been peering under that thin negligee of hers.

“Well, then you should go out. There’s no kitchen over here…”

“Looks like you want to send me somewhere else.”

“Uh, that’s not what I meant.”

“I don’t eat just about anything. I am rather picky.”

Bael leaned his back against the backrest of the sofa. His abs slowly twitched and a dull shadow loomed clearly beyond his tightly pulled bottom.

Julia became wary even when she exhaled. She was worried that he might find out about her chest, which had already been rising and falling rapidly. Eventually, she could no longer stand against the increasingly hot air.

As Julia jumped up from her seat, Bael gaze naturally followed her suit. She sat on the bed while fanning herself with her hands. Maybe it was because her nerves had already been on edge. Even the sound of the white sheets rustling under her hips became so vivid as well.

“Lie, lie down then. It must be because you’re so tired. You’ve been out of the nest a lot lately, right? So, due to the accumulated fatigue, you’d just want to eat something in order to relieve it.”

Even though Julia had said so herself, she still thought that it was just nonsense. Still, Julia used all sorts of excuses in order to put Bael in his place.

“Come over here.”

Once Bael had fallen asleep, he would not wake up that easily. In particular, when Julia was by his side, he would definitely fall deep into it.

Due to the emissaries who came down from the Human Realm, it became difficult to leave the nest anyway. If so, she hoped that Bael would sleep deeply. It was even better if he wouldn’t open his eyes for three days and two nights as per usual.

She wanted to stop her face from turning bright red every time her eyes met with his. She just felt so embarrassed somehow.

“I’ve never heard of a mere human who would command the King.”

Even as Bael said that, he still got up and sat down right opposite of Julia. As he pulled her hand along and dragged her away, his eyes became subtly relaxed as he reluctantly lay down. Although, compared to the others, he did not have that much of an expression, but still, in Julia’s eyes, she could see the sense of stability that he had felt.

Only by her side did the Demon King could feel a sense of stability. And that made her feel rather proud.

“I hope that the emissaries will return to the ground soon.”

“Is it suffocating?”

“I think it’s more because I only came back from a trip just a little while ago. I didn’t know how good it was to be able to roam freely wherever my feet wanted to take me.”

Julia placed her legs on top of the bed while trying really hard to keep her lips from curling downwards. As she moved her hips to lean back against the headboard, Bael’s gaze followed her closely.

Bael’s long black hair softly strewn across her white thighs. At first glance, it looked exactly like a series of restraints that held a doll in a box—just like a tight bondage that wouldn’t allow her to move on her own.

His hair eventually tickled against her bare skin. Even when Bael made a slight move, the locks on her thighs swayed along with him and slowly burrowed in between her legs.

‘What to do—this is a little……’

The embarrassing places kept on getting touched, but she still couldn’t move that easily since she was worried that Bael might have already been asleep by then.

He was lying on the side with his arm right next to Julia. Bael’s hot breath softly hit her thighs point-blank. Her waist unwittingly bounced at the subtle heat that steadily ran down her skin.
