Chapter 130

4 min read

Something was amiss about her. There was an uncanny and unpleasant air around her.

Like Rosetta said, she may simply be a crazy woman, but there was no harm in being careful in advance.

“Lanoa, strengthen the security around Rosetta. Don’t leave her alone for a while.”

“Is the Empress after her again?”

Perhaps being conscious of his surroundings, Lanoa lowered his voice as much as he could and asked. Seeing Lanoa’s serious face, Sihael shook his head.

“She still is, but there is also one annoying woman after her.”

“Who is it?”

“The second daughter of Marquis Duqran.”

“What?”

Lanoa opened his eyes wide at the mention of an unexpected figure. The woman who was rumoured to be gentle was the one who was getting on Rosetta’s nerves?

He could understand if it was the Empress, but Anisha Duqran was just an ordinary noble lady. Lanoa, who didn’t think much of it, narrowed his eyes at Sihael’s words that followed.

“The woman hurt Rosetta’s hand.”

“…”

“If you can, don’t let Rosetta go around alone just in case. And if you go in there now,”

Bang!

Before Sihael could finish his words, Lanoa broke open the door and ran in, calling out her name.

“Rosetta!”

Lanoa’s scream leaked through the crack in the half-closed door.

“Ughh! Why are you throwing cushions at me?!”

“Get out! I want to be alone”

Slam, Bang. A loud noise was heard.

“It would be better if you leave her alone.”

Sihael slipped away with a lovely voice as Rosetta vented her anger on the innocent Lanoa in the background.

Outside the main building, Sihael called Hissen, who was waiting nearby.

“Hissen, let’s go back.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

Hissen, Sihael’s right-hand man, disappeared like a shadow.

‘Should I bid farewell to Leonard?’

He thought about it for a moment, but he didn’t want to bother going to the banquet hall. They’d see each other tomorrow anyway. So Sihael moved towards the carriage.

A familiar blonde entered Sihael’s field of vision as he passed through the garden.

‘That idiot is still doing that.’

He kept whining that his wrist hurt, but here he was flirting with a woman again.

‘I guess his wrist must be hurting very much.’

He kept rubbing his wrist as if it wasn’t a lie when he said it hurt. If it really hurt that much, he should have gone back to the palace, rather than tenaciously pursue women like a teenage boy who can’t live without a woman. Sihael, who tried to ignore his skirtchasing brother, frowned at the woman with him.

Anisha Duqran. It was her.

Her eyes, tinged with blatant seductiveness, narrowed sharply. Eutis’ situation was no different.

‘It’s like a fight between a spear and a spike.’

Seeing the two people with same character spreading their wings wide and flicking at each other was a comedy itself.

He couldn’t tell who would fall first, but it had nothing to do with him. Sihael indifferently turned away, but Rosetta’s voice echoed in his head, causing him to stop.

‘Your younger brother seems to like you a lot.’

Sihael ran his hands through his hair, annoyed. It wasn’t that he was worried about Eutis, but he cared about what Rosetta said to him, so he couldn’t let him fall into the clutches of Lady Duqran.

Why should I help a guy who couldn’t  see Rosetta’s lovely side?

“Shit.”

Sihael, who spat out a curse, turned around and grabbed the smiling Eutus by his neck. A startled Utis struggled as the tight shirt pressed against his neck.

“Which bastard, heuk, brother?”

“Follow me.”

“Argh!”

Sihael, who struck Eutis in the back of his head, looked down at Anisha, who was still smiling.

An unpleasant woman. That’s what Rosetta called her. She was indeed an unpleasant and repulsive woman.

“Your Highness.”

There was no sign of surprise on her face, but the look in her eyes bothered him. It was as if she knew he was coming.

Those eyes.

‘It’s like those of Rosetta’s pet snake.’

When he saw eyes similar to Lumiyan, he instinctively felt repulsed. This woman and that guy, all of them were just bad guys. Sihael frowned and blatantly glared at her.

Eutis felt the subdued air around Sihael and clung to his side. Judging from the 20 years of his experience, he knew it was better for him to quietly follow him at times like this.

Sihael shuddered and swallowed a sigh as he looked at Eutis clinging to him.  Picking up an idiot on the way won’t change anything.

“I wasn’t able to greet you properly because I was occupied with something earlier. I’m Marquis Duqran’s Second daugh-”

Sihael turned his back before she could finish speaking. There was no reason to listen to Duqran’s introduction, but Anisha was far more persistent than he thought.
