Imprint.
To find that one mate, to fall in love blindly, to give them your all.
It’s a devoted love.
Imprinting on someone meant, in other words, that one had welcomed an eternal companion.
Sihael looked down at his mate, Rosetta. She still couldn’t come to her senses, perhaps from the shock.
‘Nonsense.’
‘Is that possible?’
She was muttering to herself while staring into space. Sihael decided not to be impatient. He knew better than anyone that the more he fretted, the more it will frighten Rosetta and make her run away.
It was a great achievement that she had not run away when he told her that he had imprinted on her.
‘Did my words about how I’d catch her and swallow her work?’
Sihael smiled satisfactorily when he saw his teeth mark on Rosetta’s ear. It was his first mark that he left on Rosetta while being lucid.
When he was a wolf, he desired for everything, including her hands, cheeks, and lips.
We finally took a step forward now. It took such a long time.
His teeth marks on her cute dainty ears kept encouraging his greed.
I want to leave my mark elsewhere… all over her body. As Sihael stared at her lips, he could imagine her not hesitating to swing a pillow at him and thinking of him a pervert if she found out his wanton thoughts.
‘If I kiss there… I’d definitely get beaten.’
Rosetta generously accepted whatever Sihael did. But if he touched her lips and ears and other sensitive areas she would cut him off like a knife. As for Rosetta, at first glance, she seemed to be defenseless without anything, but if you look closely, she had already drawn a subtle line between them.
If I cross that line, she’ll run away and hide.
Sihael stretched out his hand to soothe his regret. As he softly touched her soft earlobes, the dazzled Rosetta trembled.
‘The closer I get, the farther she’d go away.’
Sihael took off his hand, which kept trembling with greed, and clenched his fist.
“Rosetta, is the fact that I imprinted on you so shocking?”
“…Yes.”
“Did you really not notice at all when I made it so obvious?”
“…Yes.”
Sihael remembered the past days when he waggled his tail around her. Even though he tried so hard, it didn’t mean anything to Rosetta. He pretended not to, but his heart was rending.
‘She would have never known if I hadn’t kissed her eyes.’
It wasn’t what he was aiming for. He was startled by Rosetta, who had suddenly burst into tears, and involuntarily kissed her, but he had no impure intentions. He was surely lucky. His actions of trying to appease Rosetta who shed sad tears eventually made her care about him.
“You found out that I like you recently, right?”
“… Yes.”
“But have you ever thought about imprinting on me?”
“…Yes.”
Sihael, who widened his eyes, examined Rosetta’s complexion. Is she still in shock? It seems that she has been answering without thinking for a while.
“Rosetta, are you sure you’re listening to me?”
“……yes.”
“Hmm, is that so?”
Sihael, humming low, leaned towards Rosetta, who was still only looking straight ahead. Then he asked in a soft voice, “Rosetta, do you like me?”
“…Yes, huh?
Now that’s a good response.
Rosetta, who immediately came to her senses, looked back at Sihael with rabbit-like eyes. Sihael beamed a smile when he saw her quivering green eyes.
“Okay, I like you, too.”
Seeing her flushed face, Sihael chuckled like a well-fed animal. Rosetta quickly groped for the sofa, picked up the cushion, and pressed it against Sihael’s face. His smile was too harmful for her heart.
“Don’t say things like that carelessly!”
“One can express what and who they like.”
Sihael, who removed the cushion lightly, whispered that he liked her. Rosetta, whose cheeks as well as the scruff of her neck were red at his confession, covered his eyes.
‘I think my face is going to explode because of the imprint…’
It was too much to accept even Sihael’s confession.
“Please wait for me to adjust.”
“If you want to adapt quickly, wouldn’t it be better if I keep confessing to you?”
… Well, that’s right though. Rosetta, who almost fell for Sihael’s words for a moment, hurriedly shook her head.
‘No, if I let go of my inhibitions, I might end up in a bad spot.’
It was clear to me that my future would be swayed in a mess if I let this go on like this. I didn’t know I’d really be eaten by him.
Rosetta contemplated and opened her eyes when she cleared her clouded mind.
“No.”
“I’ll do it once a day.”
Rosetta nodded reluctantly at his complaint to yield this much, and held out a finger toward Sihael.
“Only once. Promise?”
“Okay.”
As Rosetta wished, the two made a pinky promise. Sihael smiled at Rosetta, who let out a sigh of relief. If he could reassure her with a little promise, he would do it again and again. Sihael smiled languidly like a well-fed animal and pulled out a small box from his bosom.
“This is my real present.”
Rosetta opened her eyes wide when she saw the twinkling little gems shining.
The gift was a ring.
