Top-Notch Personal Meal (5.2)
Lin Jiayi was so angry, but there was nothing he could do and could only carelessly wander inside the room. When he turned to the other side of the bed, he was absent-minded and stepped on something soft.
When Lin Jiayi looked down, he saw that it was the body pillow which had the face of Gu Yunchen on it, the one he saw on Mu Cai’s bed yesterday, and now it had fallen off the bed.
He looked at the cold, ascetic face of Gu Yunchen printed on the body pillow, and for the first time, he felt a little irritation towards his cousin. Lin Jiayi looked back at Mu Cai and saw the other party was still dabbing something on his face, so he turned back and stretched out his foot and stepped on the pillow two more times.
The suffocation in his chest dissipated quite a bit!
Lin Jiayi felt the effect was amazing but at the same time, he couldn’t help but feel a little self-doubt.
What’s wrong with him? How could he be so happy after stepping on Brother Gu’s body pillow?
Just then Mu Cai finally finished messing with his face. He cleaned up the things on the table and said without turning back, “I’m done, let’s go down.”
Lin Jiayi hurriedly withdrew his foot, took a few steps back while pretending to be impatient as he shouted, “Why are you so slow? I’ve been waiting for you for a long time. I’m starving to death!”
Mu Cai was a little puzzled. If Lin Jiayi was so hungry, why didn’t he go downstairs earlier, why was he still waiting here?
Facing the blank and innocent look on the pale face of the teenager, Lin Jiayi felt even more guilty. He was afraid Mu Cai would see the footprints on the pillow so he quickly grabbed Mu Cai’s arm, showing an eager look and then pulled him out, “Let’s go quickly!”
Mu Cai followed Lin Jiayi obediently and didn’t forget to take his mobile phone with him when he went out.
Lin Jiayi dragged him downstairs.
It wasn’t until they arrived near the dining table Mu Cai broke free from Lin Jiayi’s grip. He was somewhat out of breath.
There were already people at the table. Gu Yunchen looked up at them with a cold gaze and lowered his head to check the documents on his phone. However, when Mo Hengqing saw the two of them, he raised his eyebrows and said, “sit down and eat.”
The four of them had breakfast together, and then Mo Fu returned with his wife.
Father Mo greeted his son’s two friends, as well as his wife’s son, with a friendly attitude, and exchanged a few pleasantries before letting the young men go play by themselves.
Mu Cai followed Lin Jiayi and the others out to walk the dog. The Samoyed seemed to like him especially, always smiling at him and even rubbing against him when he touched him. Lin Jiayi on the other hand looked amused and took several pictures of him.
Even Mo Hengqing was a little surprised. Mu Cai used to barely come out with them before, so it was only today he found out his younger brother was a person loved by animals. He tried to remind the stupid big white dog who owned it, but all he got was the Samoyed’s tail-wagging butt.
Only Gu Yunchen was standing there indifferently watching them revolving around a dog.
When it was time for lunch, Mu Cai sat in a chair a bit further away from everyone else.
Wang Li, the original’s mother, greeted everyone warmly, “I didn’t expect you guys to come, that’s why I only prepared a little, apologies for the bad hospitality.”
Looking at the dishes over the table, Lin Jiayi said straightforwardly, “What are you saying Aunt Wang? There are so many dishes at the table, we won’t be able to finish them all.”
Wang Li’s face was full of joy.
After Mo Fu moved his chopsticks first, everyone also started eating.
This dining table was rectangular, and Mu Cai was sitting across from Mo father. His position was at the narrower side of the rectangle, and all the dishes were a certain distance away from him.
It was not very convenient for him to pick up food, so he had to eat the two dishes closest to him, thus saving himself from the embarrassment of having to stand up constantly.
Wang Li was sitting on the left-hand side of Mo Fu, and on the right-hand side was Mo Hengqing. Lin Jiayi and Gu Yunchen successively came down and sat on both sides. Both of them were closer to Mu Cai. Gu Yunchen did not squint, only focused on eating his own food, and occasionally answered a few inquiries from Mo father or chatted with Mo Hengqing who was sitting beside him.
But Lin Jiayi had been quietly paying attention to Mu Cai.
