Heat period? (1)
The young man’s unintentionally innocent words seemed like a heavy hammer that landed hard on Mu Heng’s heart.
His breath hitched.
At that instant, the distant sounds and images seemed to be pulled away, disappearing as if they were distant white noise.
Amidst the silent buzz, only the sound of his heartbeat remained fierce, distinct, and rapid.
The young man raised his eyes and the depths of his eyes rippled with a layer of fluctuating light and shadow.
Mu Heng’s Adam’s apple moved. Then, he suddenly raised his hand and covered Shi An’s eyes without warning.
Shi An froze on the spot.
He felt darkness in front of his eyes. The human palm’s heat fell sharply on his face, tightly blocking his vision.
“Eh?”
The other person’s suppressed voice came to his ears in the darkness. “Don’t look at me like that.”
Shi An: “???”
What?
The man’s voice was slightly faint and hoarse as if he was having trouble suppressing some raging and intense emotion from within.
“Don’t say things like that to me.”
Shi An blinked, his soft eyelashes sweeping within the other man’s palm, slightly bewildered.
He carefully recalled for a few seconds.
But… he didn’t seem to say anything just now.
It was muddling darkness in front of him, but Shi An felt as if he could feel the heat in the other party’s gaze.
He slightly stammered, “W-What’s wrong?”
The other person said hoarsely, “I can’t help myself from wanting to kiss you.”
Shi An: “???”
A distinct heat reached his lips the next second.
It was soft and dry, burning hot like a feather, but the presence was so strong that it could not be ignored.
Perhaps tainted by human body heat, Shi An felt his face begin to burn like a pot of water being boiled and his head seemed to feel dizzy.
His feet seemed to be stepping on soft clouds, and the human temperature and breath surrounded him properly.
It was still dark in front of his eyes, giving him a half-asleep, half-awake feeling.
In the next second, the other party’s hot and wet tongue entered.
The extremely gentle action suddenly became fierce, full of endless destruction and a desire to vent. The pain was always restrained at the last moment and became tender and fiery as if wrapped in endless strong emotions, overwhelmingly pouring into Shi An.
It was like being deeply immersed in a vast ocean, so deep that it was impossible to breathe and resist.

And even the advocate carrying out the plan was nowhere to be found.
No one knew his name, had seen his face, and knew how many years he had lived.
However, he was always the most determined and fanatical promotor of the dragon plan, plus his strength was the most powerful. Whether it was his spellcraft or the build-up of spell formations – all was unfathomable. He was the one who made the whole organization grow to its current size, and he was also the one who brought the connections, resources, and immense wealth to the organization.
The entire organization submitted to his leadership for many years without second thoughts or questions.
However, their plan failed.
The dragon apparently had no intention of cooperating with them. It had disappeared again and no one had seen any trace of it.
And their leader’s whereabouts were unknown to this day.
According to the catastrophic explosion that destroyed the entire abyssal rift, the odds were that he would not survive.
So what were they supposed to do next?
Amidst the gloomy atmosphere, one of the black-robed men slowly stepped forward and said in a cold and sarcastic tone, “Honestly, I never thought it was a good idea to summon a giant dragon.”
Everybody around sucked in a breath of cold air.
However, the black-robed man did not shy away from this and continued to say, “Yes, dragons are powerful and noble fantasy species, but that’s also the most uncontrollable thing about them. They are so arrogant that even if they could be summoned, it would be hard for them to follow our instructions.”
He had previously offered his opinion implicitly, but no one had ever been willing to listen to it.
But now it was different.
The only person who could get in his way was gone.
He was finally able to proclaim his ideas freely.
The rest of the group fell silent simultaneously.
Obviously, the current situation was developing precisely as the other side had described it.
“Everyone should also be clear about why our continent has become the way it is now.”
The black-robed man looked around the circle and slowly said, “The abyss and the continent were originally one, but they were forcibly separated and the fantasy species that once occupied the entire continent was nowhere to be found. It all started with a thousand-year-long conspiracy planned by humans! Our purpose is to wash the sins of humans with death so that the continent can be restored to purity and the whole world can be reborn.”
At this moment, another black-robed man hesitantly spoke. “But… the dragon has now disappeared, so how can we complete the plan?”
The man said slowly, “Our former leader was too obsessed with methods, believing that the fantasy species themselves must claim the debts owed by humans to them, but in reality… the means do not matter as long as the end can be achieved.”
“You mean…”
“That’s right.” The man nodded slowly. “An alternate plan.”
A new abyssal rift opened up in an unnoticed corner of the entire continent, but no abyssal species were gushing out from it.
Only a purple-black mist slowly escaped from it.
The forest’s depths resounded with the frantic hissing and roaring of the demons.
