The Central Idea Is… (2)
At this moment, the other guests were still on the ship. Zhao Tingting contemplated before she spoke, “Did you all pay attention to the English alphabet on the ship? It’s the letter H. And the letter on Zhou-laoshi’s ship is C, whereas ours is S. Qiu-ge’s is M.”
“Ah, I get it. Should we combine the letters together? HCSM? ‘How come stupid me’?”
【…】
【Fine. You’re a bit too dumb】
“No.” Qiu Sichuan pondered for a moment and said, “Look at where the ships are located.”
Fu Chunying realized what he meant and said, “I think this river is called Hoboken.”
“Mn, the main attraction of this river are the ships. Based on that, when we look further in the direction of C, S, and M, and when you link the few dots together, there should be an intersection point. And at that point…” Zhou Tingting said.
“Our next destination?” Zhou Yuanqi asked, confused.
“It should be,” Zhao Tingting replied.
Qiu Sichuan said, “Mn, Bai Qi must’ve understood a long time ago.”
“Who knows, he might’ve found the wrong one,” Zhou Yuanqi said.
【Wake up guys. Bai Qi is already at the 4th station!】
【Qi Qi’s intelligence is amazing】
At this moment, Bai Qi was standing in a huge auditorium.
The outside of the auditorium was plastered with posters. There were Latin Alphabets written on the posters. This theatre was the place where the “Romeo and Juliet” play was being performed.
Bai Qi’s task was to act with one of the theater actors to find the new clue.
Before that, he had to learn from the actors.
Bai Qi liked trying new things.
Thus, he’d picked up a lot of random skills in his life.
But today, he felt bored.
Bai Qi sat down and waited on the bench. He uncontrollably flailed his legs around.
【Without Xi-laoshi, Qi Qi doesn’t look as happy】
【Qi Qi is going back to an empty nest. Open the door, and let me in】
【Xi-ge is watching you!】
Bai Qi thought about it for a moment. Why did he feel bored?
He didn’t feel that way when he was with Xi-laoshi. Was it because he was alone?
But he was also alone when he filmed the first episode.
Was it because when Xi-laoshi was around, he could clearly feel like he was earning money. Was that why he felt like he was having fun?
That wasn’t it.
Other than during the first two weeks, money wasn’t really an issue on Bai Qi’s mind anymore.
He let out a sigh.
Suddenly, the door opened.
“Are you filming for a show?” The person spoke with a weird accent.
He said, “Hi, I’m here to teach you how to deliver the lines, and also show you the ropes of theater.”
It seemed like the man had just finished performing, and his face was caked in a thick layer of makeup. He was dressed in a tailcoat and he was holding an intricately designed cane.
He was around 1.84m and he looked very elegant and noble.
He looked Chinese.
“Hey, I’m Frank.”
【My gosh! This man is so handsome! Xi-laoshi hurry up, you have to come back!】
【This man give off Xi-laoshi vibes】
On the other hand…
Xi Chengyun didn’t spend much time before he managed to go through the procedures and pay the inheritance tax.
Shang Guang immediately went to find him after he heard about the news of his absence.
“You’re not done filming, are you?” Shang Guang asked in a small voice.
Xi Chengyun’s mind seemed to be elsewhere as he said, “Mn.”
He didn’t look as happy as Shang Guang had expected.
‘Of course, Xi-laoshi isn’t an expressive person after all,’ Shang Guang thought.
Shang Guang rubbed his hands together and contemplated for a bit before he asked, “Since you have already gotten what you’ve been hoping for, does this mean an end to you and Bai Qi’s contract? I can settle the rest from here.”
After all, a contractual relationship is merely based on a contract.
And things can’t carry on this way.
Xi Chengyun paused. He was seated in front of a window, and his face visibly darkened.
When Shang Guang saw his reaction, he couldn’t help but want to continue talking.
He thought that Xi-laoshi had it tough.
They both knew that Bai Qi was merely acting.
However, before Shang Guang managed to continue, Xi Chengyun coldy replied, “Did you see today’s live stream? The comments were saying that Bai Qi was struggling to find motivation even when the camera was rolling.”
He seemed to be analysing the situation for Shang Guang and himself. “Bai Qi has truly fallen for me. He can’t survive without me. He’s so young and beautiful. If I end the contract and divorce him, he might fall into depression and go down an unrighteous path…”
Shang Guang was perplexed. ‘Are you sure? Are you lying to me? Or did something happen without me noticing?’
‘’You won’t be divorcing him, no matter what happens, won’t you?’
Xi Chengyun himself was also shocked after he’d said that.
He stared coldy into the horizon.
Shang Guang felt a breeze of coldness entering his heart. When he lookd down, he saw that he was holding a paper bag in his hand. The handles of the paper bag were utterly crumpled.
Shang Guang suddenly realized that Xi-ge was trying very hard to convince himself and find a reason to allow this contract to carry on.
Now, the person who feared the contract wasn’t Bai Qi, it ws Xi-ge.
The author has something to say: Xi-laoshi taking the bunny ears, aka, Xi-laoshi discreetly confessing.
Bai Qiqi’s interpretation: I understand now! He must’ve stolen the bunny ears to wear themhimself!
