“Julia.”
His low murmur was eventually drowned out by the squelches. Once again, Julia, who reached her climax, had her inner walls all tightened and Bael, who was stimulated by her at the same time, could no longer stand it and began to climax himself.
Right when he came in unison, a huge set of wings were unfurled, which ultimately filled up the two people’s line of sight. Bael could not bear the exceptional pleasure and spread his power at once. A powerful gust of wind suddenly blew nearby the nest, but his red eyes were locked only on the woman who was in his arms.
“…”
The sight of the key writhing and convulsing had made his heart throb in time. It was the first feeling that he never possessed ever since opening his eyes. This feeling of having the back of his throat getting all choked up just by looking at someone else.
“About that messenger from the Human Realm.”
Bael’s face, which had bathed under the red moonlight, was so cool and alluring as well as extremely beautiful that she couldn’t even take her eyes off him. He closed his mouth briefly as if he was thinking about something before he lazily brushed his damp hair back. There was a tinge of sensual atmosphere in his every little movement.
“I’ll try to trust you.”
“……yes.”
Julia caressed his cheek—like she was possessed—and Bael simply leaned his head towards it. Then, he took Julia’s hand and pressed it against his lips gently. Even the momentary scent that touched the tip of his nose had choked him ever so painfully.
He thought that it was rather odd. Nevertheless, Bael still didn’t know why after all.
* * *
A group of about a hundred envoys had departed from the Human Realm and came down to the Demon Realm through the gates of hell. Although they were few in number, they were still the leading warriors in each of their regions. The men’s momentum as they marched while waving such huge flags was evidently high.
As she stood by the bedroom window, Julia looked over the horizon while gazing at the haze of dust. The familiar lion-patterned flag was fluttering against the wind—a symbol of those who had pointed spears at her before tossing her down the cliff.
‘Vestra Imperial Guard……’
The Imperial Guard, the sword and shield of the Imperial Family, had seldom gone out of Vestra itself. The reason why they ultimately came to such a distant place was probably because of herself. It was because of her own self, who had borne the name of the Princess—even just nominally.
‘Since the war is finally over and the urgent fire has gone out, their true intention is to retrieve the key as of now. It’s going to be difficult if the Demon God would truly be born after all.’
Legion’s cynical voice eventually flashed through her mind. Julia impatiently lowered her gaze in response.
While the envoys were staying in the castle, she had no intention of going outside at all. In fact, Agares had also promised to expel them as soon as the work was completed.
However, just by staying in the same place as all of them had made Julia feel really uncomfortable. She felt like the afterimages of the past that she never wanted to face ever again were trying to shatter the currently achieved tranquility.
Right behind Julia, who had been wearing such a complicated face, a presence was seen to begin drawing even closer. Her body was suddenly swung against the window right after.
“Demon King?”
Even today, Bael only had his pants on. Just like the man himself, his large and wide frame as well as deeply curved abs wriggled right in front of her own eyes.
It was only a few days ago that she had straddled up the way on top of there and cried all night long. That was when Julia’s face that had ripened in the blink of an eye, began trying to avoid his gaze.
“What are you looking out so closely? Have you changed your mind?”
“That can’t be the case at all. It just makes me feel a little…”
Julia, who was just about to spill out her thoughts without giving much thought, shut her mouth abruptly. Since when did she open up to Bael that much?
Night after night, she started to recount the events of the day. Sometimes, she would divulge a little bit of her old memories and each time, Bael didn’t say much at all. Nevertheless, he didn’t seem to be very comfortable with her as well. And for some reason, he even muttered harsh words in return.
She had to be careful, but when she stood by him, she kept feeling a little lighter. Eventually, Julia ignored it and turned the subject around instead.
“Ah, Demon King. Are you going out today? It appears that you often go out these days.”
“Are you going to run away?”
“Again! Why do you keep on saying things like that? I’m not going anywhere.”
“I can’t believe that.”
Bael then pressed the back of her head straight onto his chest. His pupils, which were sharp like snakes, turned towards the horizon just beyond Julia’s round crown. However, as Julia was unaware of this, she only blinked at the sudden silence.
“Stay by my side for the time being. I won’t forgive you if you dare move on your own.”
“What?”
“It’s the same during the day too. Remain where I can see you.”
Bael’s hand gently cupped along Julia’s neck. The cool touch of his skin brushed against her neck, but a clear metallic sound briefly passed through her ears. It had been so sudden that made her lower her gaze only to find a familiar necklace was already hanging on her.
[▷Red Magic Necklace
A necklace that is made by the Demon King Bael and infused with his own powerful magic. It can block the access of all demons except for Bael himself. Usage left: 3]
“Don’t you dare lose it this time.”
The blood-red jewels softly glistened under the sunlight. Bael’s gaze lingered there for a short time before it quickly turned to Julia’s face. Her big eyes were still on the necklace that was dangling on her chest.
“It’s beautiful. Thank you.”
