The Right Timing (10)
Wendy finished the checkout and looked at the new guest. Realizing that it was Kian, she came out from behind the counter and she greeted him. The woman from earlier was the last customer who came to pay.
“Can you take over the position at the counter here?”
She told the staff and went into the office with Kian. Wendy, who closed the office door, looked at Kian.
“I haven’t heard from Pina yet…”
“Is that so?”
Wendy sighed at the darkening look. It seemed even more regrettable because she knew their situation.
“Are you eating properly? What about sleep?”
“I’m managing well. When I was talking to Pina earlier, she didn’t tell me where she was…”
Kian told Wendy about his inn. Wendy nodded.
“Don’t worry too much. Now that she’s a crown princess, I’m sure she’ll help you well.”
It may have meant that she would use her power since she became a higher aristocrat. Kian couldn’t laugh because he knew how easily the nobles abandoned their friends and colleagues.
“Then…that would be a relief. I’ll be on my way.”
“Where are you going? The inn?
“Looks like he took Liliana to the Marquis’ residence, so I intend to look into it.”
“Be careful.”
Looking at Kian leaving the office with his back turned, Wendy clicked her tongue as if she felt sorry for him.

Anna had the same thoughts and was heading towards the “former” County of Adelia. In the half-burnt mansion, all that remained was a dilapidated mansion and useless furniture.
Still, it was judged that she could get a glimpse of the Marquis’ residence from the high floor of the garden tree or mansion.
Anna was convinced because she had previously visited the mansion with Liliana. The conviction was just right.
Lady’s room is empty…
Anna, who saw it on the second floor of the mansion, came down quietly. No one stood guard in the burned-out mansion as before. The door was locked, but Anna found the low wall and crossed it.
Because the former Adelia mansion was located at the end of the road, it was possible to do so without people looking.
After leaving the mansion, Anna climbed up in search of a tree with thick leaves and strong branches. She knew where the opening Rowena used was, but it was dangerous to use it now.
The Marquis doubled the number of guards. If not careful, she would also be captured by the Marquis of Wenson and used to intimidate Liliana.
On top of the tree, Anna found the location of the guard and the location of Liliana. The wicked marquis seemed to have locked Liliana in an underground warehouse where she had always been locked up.
Such a loser!
Liliana was trapped in an attic before the age of ten and in an underground warehouse after the age of ten. Young Liliana was more afraid of the underground warehouse than the attic because she was afraid of the dark place.
The underground warehouse was especially dark and humid even in the middle of the day.
If she had been dragged here, she would have taken a carriage…
She may be starving without receiving any water in an exhausted state. Even Anna was mad at the Marquis, who gave her half a cup of water a day.
Anna, who had been staring at the low window of the underground warehouse for a long time, was surprised to see a light suddenly come on there.
Why is there a light?
Even if someone who took pity on Liliana came inside, the light was usually not turned on. If they get caught by the Marquis, they’ll be beaten to death.
She was watching to see what was going on, and after a while she saw a servant running away. He didn’t just go, he took a carriage and went out.
“God!”
It had to see a healer! Anna hurried down from the tree.

She was a girl who had been in a bad condition since she entered the mansion. Somehow, the maid moved the water time for Liliana forward by an hour.
The lady-in-waiting, holding a lamp and opening the door to the underground warehouse where she was kept, was startled. It was to some extent expected that Liliana fainted, but her skirt was stained red all over as if she was bleeding.
“Milady!”
Not only her but also the maids who followed were frightened. The marquis wasn’t at home at the moment, but the butler’s judgment was quick.
A servant was sent to bring in a healer and Lady Liliana was moved to the second floor. While the maids were nursing Liliana, they sent a servant to inform the marquis of the news.
Before the marquis, the healer arrived with the marquis’ servant. He examined Liliana and knew what this was all about.
What to do? Should I tell the Marquis?
First aid had already been done and there was nothing more he could do. If he prescribed some medicine, the family would take care of the girl.
The problem was the Marquis of Wenson. It was a fact that everyone in the capital knew that this lady had an affair with a common merchant and ran away.
He thought she would hide it if she had a child.
It would be nice if they paid me to keep my mouth shut… They might silence me by killing me.
Therefore, it would be better to let as many people as possible know this fact to save himself. As soon as the healer made up his mind and opened his mouth toward the butler and the maid, the door burst open.
“Why did you call a healer!”
When he saw the Marquis shouting with an angry face, the healer’s face turned pale.
