The king, who looked at the scene, clicked his tongue briefly.
“You can’t even do something to please, tsk.”
It seems silly.
With a pitiful look in his eyes, the King shook off Rieta’s hand and quickly went out of the tent.
He was followed by Rieta’s younger brothers.
Still with their heads bowed low.
When Rieta followed them out, she saw several small boats floating on the artificial lake.
Among them, there was one decorated with colorful fabrics and jewels, and King Liz naturally headed for it.
He climbed onto the boat, and his women accompanied him.
After that, the two younger brothers asked permission to board the King’s boat.
Rieta wondered what she would do.
In her heart, she wanted to go back to her room, but she was cautious because she didn’t know where the sparks would fly too if she acted unrestrainedly.
The King’s servant approached the restless Rieta cautiously.
“Princess, this way.”
The place he pointed to was the King’s ship.
Rieta didn’t want to board that vulgar boat.
But on the other hand, she thought there might be a chance to talk with her younger brothers, so she followed along the servant without saying anything.
In front of the swaying boat, the servant held out his hand.
It seemed that he was trying to help her get on top of the boat.
“What’s going on?”
Just then, two people stood in front of her.
Rieta was startled and quickly raised her head.
There were pure white boys with beautiful silver hair. Of course, it was her younger siblings.
“Ah, that…”
Rieta didn’t know what to say to her younger brothers, whom she hadn’t seen in a while, so she stuttered for a moment.
It seems strange to greet them again…
“…?”
The boys stood side by side and, with their arms crossed, began to stare at Rieta.
They seem to be waiting for what she has to say.
That look reminded Rieta of her childhood.
When she started talking, they would stare at her like this and look forward to what she said next.
“Long, long time no see.”
Rieta managed to greet them, and awkwardly waved her hand.
Did she look weird?
Despite her best greetings, they did not respond.
Rieta tried her best to say something, albeit just a little bit.
“I’m glad you both seem to have grown up nicely. I was always worried.”
This time they still didn’t answer. They were still staring at Rieta, really staring.
Rieta realized one thing from their appearance.
They weren’t waiting for Rieta to say something.
It was clear, as they kept their expression frozen like a doll.
“Well, maybe…”
She looked at the two of them with a wary face and asked, to confirm one fact.
“You didn’t…forget me, did you?”
She was worried that they might have completely forgotten her because they got separated abruptly at such a young age.
There had been very little news since then.
The boys looked at each other for a moment.
“Is that person treating us like fools?”
“That’s what I felt too.”
Rieta’s hands shook in surprise when she heard them say that.
“That, that’s not it! It’s just your reaction was so…”
She only asked just in case, because they looked like they were looking at a stranger.
Then, as if the boys had promised beforehand, they started clapping their hands at Rieta.
Clap, clap, clap. Even the sound was insincere.
“Whoaa, welcome.”
“Welcome. Princess.”
Besides, after clapping their hands three more times and saying something that seemed to annoy them, they asked Rieta, “There, satisfied?”
“…What?”
“You said you didn’t like our reaction and treated us like fools.”
No, it wasn’t like that.
Was it funny? King Liz, who was already on board, grabbed his stomach and started laughing.
He must have been relieved to see his sons making fun of Rieta.
“Father.”
The boys turned to the King.
“You guys have ugly faces, but you’re good at saying things. I’ll give you everything in return for that pleasure.”
Then they pointed their finger at Rieta and said in unison,
“She’s not fun. We don’t need anything boring at Father’s banquet.”
The King nodded his head as his sons spoke in the same voice.
“Well, since before, that thing has only done nothing but ruin the fun with useless words. Get rid of her!”
Then he waved one hand.
He didn’t want to have Rieta here, so that meant he forbade her from boarding the boat.
However, despite the order, Rieta remained frozen in place and could not move.
“Hey, hey.”
She hastily reached out with both hands and grasped her brothers’ arm in begging.
“…?”
Even so, they just stared at Rieta dully.
Soon the King called his two sons, and they shook off Rieta’s hand and returned to their father’s side.
The ship departed.
There was a continuous sound of joyful music and laughter from the luxurious boats that were getting farther and farther away.
Rieta forgot that it was okay for her to go back to her room now, and just stared at it for a while.
