After choosing a horse, they took the horse out of the ranch .
With the help of the old man and Jamie the girl was able to get up on the horse back . She was scared once she got on the horse, "Jamie . . . "
The man quickly got on the horse and grab hold of her hands . "I'm here, don't worry . "
The moment the man held her hand, she stops trembling and her heart that was beating in fear turned to flutter . She took a quick glance of the man behind him, her face turned red and she averted away avoiding the man from noticing her .
"You ready?" the man's husky voice said from behind her .
She was spacing-out that she was unable to replay, but just nod her head . Her heart was beating so fast she was worried that he would hear it, they were so close to each other, that she could not keep calm .
Jamie controlled the horse in a steady pace, avoiding Angelique from getting anxious . As they rode the horse together, they were heading inside the woods .
They could only hear the sound of birds and animals, the wind blowing the branches of the trees they were indeed surrounded by nature . It was so peaceful and the fresh air has been just perfect .
"Having fun?"
Angelique gave a genuine smile, "I am . "
As they approached the end of the woods, an enormous clear blue lake welcomed them . The girl eye widens at seeing such crystal clear lake in front of her, such a vast beauty was hidden away .
"Jamie, how did you find this place?" she said as she turned around to him .
"I used to go here with some of my friends in medical school to relax during the exam, I though this might be a good place to take you on our first date . "
Hearing the word 'first date' the girl became reserved and turned away from Jamie gaze . They have been out so many times, yet this is the first time indeed that they are alone together . She was so out of place that she felt everything was a dream .
As they were closing by the lake, Jamie stops and got down . He then reached out his hand to help the girl down . She was in a dilemma of whether to go down or stay on the horse . In the end, she reached out to the man's hand, holding it tightly and got down off the horse .
"Ange, can I ask you something?" the man said, watching the girl gazing at the lake .
She turned around and unexpectedly their eyes meet, "Sure?"
"What do you think of me? Who am I to you? In all honesty . "
Seeing the man's expression, she could not help it, but turn away and went closer to the horse . "Hmm, your Jamie . My Jamie, my best friend who have accepted me for who I am, who care for me . I've always regarded you as my best friend since then but . . . "
When the girl turned around and saw the man depress face, she realizes she must have said something that have upset him . "You've always been my first love . "
When the man heard the words coming out the girl, he was totally surprised that until now she still think of him that way .
"You've always been the person I adore the most, the one who I wish to be with but I know where I stand and I won't force myself in anything I already know the ending . But I'll always think of you that way . . . "
The man's body moved on its on and grab the girl and embrace her . He tightly hugged her as he felt the warm feeling inside . He was so happy that he wishes to do more, but for now it's better to take things slowly .
The girl was left to wonder, "Jamie?"
"Don't worry, I won't let you go . . . "
